Program Notes:

In life, there are many possible paths that we could take. What peaks our interest? What will the path be in our lives? What is our purpose? What is our calling? As we begin our journey, we investigate these avenues and ideas until we find something that we want to pursue.

We explore this path, test it, and sometimes it tests us. Is this really what we want to do? We experience setbacks, loss, and disappointment, but in the end, we keep coming back to what we feel called to do. Despite all the hardships, this is what we’re meant to do. We embrace it and feel like we’ve fulfilled what we were meant to do in life.

Then there comes a time when we pass the torch. It’s not goodbye to our calling; it’s just a new phase of the experience. Even as we move on, our calling has a reverberating impact on those around us whom we affected. Those lives that we touched, inspired, and maybe set someone else’s calling alight.

And all of this came about when we followed that one initial idea.
